A major service provider for an Oilsands operator was preparing storage tanks for entry and inspection. The degassing and degreasing chemicals they had historically been using could not be diluted for application and could not be mixed for a single step process. This resulted in high chemical costs and extended times required to prepare the tank for entry, impacting the overall cost and scope of the turn-around.
With a clear understanding of the customer’s objectives of reducing chemical costs and the amount of time available to effectively prepare the tank for entry, Evergreen Solutions developed a customized solution for the service provider. With a complete solution including the chemistry and a full procedure, Evergreen Solutions was able to help the service provider exceed the operator’s expectations for the tank entry timeline and costs.
Using TASER DGH and TASER FDG at the recommended dilutions, temperatures, flows and duration, the service provider was able to condense the entry preparation procedure into a single step process, reducing the time, equipment needed and ultimately the cost of the project.

TASER DGH – Heavy Duty Cleaning Scavenger
TASER DGH has been designed to instantaneously and permanently eliminate hydrogen sulphide, various mercaptans as well as LEL producing VOCs such as benzene, ammonia and toluene. In addition to its scavenging power TASER DGH has light to medium cleaning properties, significantly reducing turnaround time in many applications.
TASER DGH is engineered to specifically convert hydrogen sulfide and various VOCs to a non-hazardous compound in both aqueous and hydrocarbon solutions. TASER DGH is a water-soluble solution that is
non-corrosive and contains no harmful carcinogens or hidden toxins making it safe for both the operator and the environment.
Another performance benefit of TASER DGH is its efficient mole ratio conversion. TASER DGH is capable of removing 4 moles of hydrogen sulfide to 1 mole of active chemical which translates into higher scavenging effectiveness with less chemical required.
